With the great views of Spencer Gulf come the opportunity to catch some of the best fish & crabs around, or try your hand at squidding, Tickera is very tidal which creates a great environment for crabbing & fishing for whiting off the beach. Or if you want Wallaroo is only a 15 minute drive away & you can fish off the jetty. And if you don't catch any there are numerous places to buy delicious seafood.

Kadina is the local business hub, with supermarkets, service stations, banks & many shops.  The local tourist information centre is at the farm shed & is a wealth of knowledge for the area, this also has an historic farming & mining museum where you can see lots of interesting old farm machinery & find out all about why it is called the copper coast & the history of the mining in the area. Just added to the farm shed is a mini putput course.

Wallaroo has a hospital, lots of shops, foodland & a fabulous brewery & Gin Distillery called Bond store with amazing food too.  The local pubs all have good food, The Weeroona, The Prince, the Anglers inn & the Marina hotel.

A little further away you have Moonta, Moonta Bay & Port Hughes which are also nice to explore, grab a coffee, browse some shops or visit the local homemade Gelateria just out of Moonta, a must for icecream lovers!! For kids there is a water park called splash town open in the summer months.

And in the other direction we have Port Broughton & Fishermans Bay.

All of these towns have great pubs which serve delicious meals.  The Tickera community centre hosts meals occasionally & are open some friday's for casual drinks, these are run purely by volunteers & bookings are essential, for enquiries please call Carolyn on: 0439942251 or look up the Tickera community centre on facebook.

Monday to Friday there is a great cafe in Alford only 10 minutes drive from Tickera, Karimi serves the most awesome chicken burgers & hot chips & on Fridays she makes amazing curries and there is a lot more on her menu!

Sorry but we are a pet free accommodation
